Signing Up

How do I know which category to choose?

There are 4 categories of sessions to choose from: Standard Athlete, Elite Athlete, NCAA Athlete and Video Analysis. The choice depends on your goals and current level of skill and experience. The quality of service is the same, the categories are simply there to help us understand your needs. Descriptions of each category can be found on the book now page. When booking a session, we encourage you to write details about problems you are experiencing, your goals for the sessions, and any specific topics you want to discuss during the sessions.

Why would I book a package of 4 or 8 sessions?

You can always book single sessions as needed, but we have intentionally discounted the 4 and 8 session packages because we believe meeting on a consistent basis yields better results. With multiple sessions, we can get deeper into the details of specific problems and explore multiple tactics to help you achieve your goals. 4 or 8 session packages also grant you access to the messaging feature, allowing for direct communication between sessions. That being said, a single session has great value and is the perfect option if you are not sure about committing to multiple sessions.

We encourage the use of the multi-session packages for the best outcome.

Do you offer free introductory sessions?

Yes, I offer free introductory sessions for teams! If you are a coach and would like me to present my services and share my experience with your team, please contact me.

Why do I need my coach’s approval?

Your coach oversees your training, skill progression, and competition preparation. Our goal is to be a resource for both you and your coach to complement your training. Therefore, it is essential that they’re aware of, and approve of, your use of our services.

I don’t have any specific issues but I want to learn more about what you do as an athlete, can I still book a session?

Yes, of course! If you would like to talk to me about anything diving related or gain some insights into my training, competitions, and diving experience feel free to book a session and we can discuss it. When booking, choose the category that best suits the topics you would like to discuss or learn more about.

I want to book a package, but I want to do both mentoring and video analysis, is that possible?

Yes, of course! If you would like your package of 4 or 8 sessions to be a mix of mentoring and video sessions, please just specify that to us in the brief description section when you are booking, or reach out to us via email to let us know. Each time you schedule a subsequent session from your package you can specify whether you would like that session to be mentoring or video analysis in the brief description section. If you wish to do a video analysis session it is important to make sure you have submitted your videos to me at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. Please refer to the Video Analysis Sessions section for more information.

Sessions

How are parents involved when mentoring a minor?

We require the person booking to acknowledge they are 18 or over, or the parent of a minor athlete. We expect and encourage parents of minor athletes to be the ones completing the booking form and setting up the service. While we are focused on mentoring the athlete one-on-one, parents are always welcome to join the sessions.

Can my parent join the session?

While we are focused on mentoring the athlete one-on-one, parents are always welcome to join the sessions.

Can my coach join the session?

While we are focused on mentoring the athlete one-on-one, coaches are always welcome to join the sessions.

Where is my detailed plan?

Within 24 hours of your session you will receive a document containing your personalized plan in your account under messages.

How do I join the Zoom meeting?

The Zoom link will be emailed to you when you first schedule your session, and again the day before your scheduled session. You can also access Zoom links in your account by clicking the drop-down arrow on any scheduled session.

Video Analysis Sessions

How many videos do I submit?

You are allowed to submit up to 5 videos per video analysis session.

Do all of the videos I upload get analyzed?

Before your session I will review all of the allotted videos (up to 5 per session) that you have submitted to me. However, we may not directly review every individual video in the session. The purpose of the videos you provide is to give me context to the skills or issues you want to address, and to allow me to find good examples for comparison. I will determine which videos are most relevant and use session time to focus as in depth as necessary to analyze the specific problem areas and deliver meaningful feedback. If you would like one video specifically analyzed, please only send me that one video.

What happens if I do not submit my videos within 24 hours of my session?

We ask you to submit your videos within 24 hours of your video analysis session to give us time to prepare side-by-side comparisons. For these comparisons, we will find an example of a diver who has mastered the technique you are struggling with, allowing us to clearly show you what you can work on to achieve your goal. If you fail to submit your videos within 24 hours of your video analysis session, don’t worry, you will still have your session and your videos can still be analyzed during the session. However, we will not have adequate time to prepare a side-by-side comparison.

Scheduling

Where can I find the dates and times of my sessions?

All the details of your sessions you have booked are visible in your account page. Click on the “Sessions” section to see them all. You can also click on “Packages” to see any packages that still have remaining sessions to schedule. In addition to this, confirmation emails will be sent to you with the date and time of the session upon purchasing and scheduling.

How do I re-schedule a session?

You can re-schedule a session anytime up to 24 hours before the session. Login to your account. Click on “Sessions”. Find the session you want to re-schedule, then click on the 3 dots and choose “Reschedule”. Then you can choose a date and time that work for you.

I got a notice about a cancelled session, what do I do?

Our apologies, but there are rare occurrences where my schedule has changed unexpectedly and I need to cancel a session. In that case, you are credited back the session in your account. Click on “Packages” and you will find the credited session which you will need to reschedule.

Messaging

Where can I see my messages?

To view or send messages, navigate to your account and log in. Messages can be found below sessions on your account page.

How can I access messaging?

Messaging becomes available only if you have a future video session, or after your first session for packages of 4 or 8. After your last session in a package, the ability to send messages becomes restricted, but you will still have access to see the message history. To regain access to messaging, simply purchase another 4 or 8 session package, or any video analysis session!

How does messaging work?

The messaging feature allows the diver to message the mentor directly through their account on our website. You will receive an email notifying you when you have a new message.

I haven’t received a response to my message?

This is not a live chat. Messages will typically receive a reply within 24 hours during regular business days. Response times may vary on weekends or holidays.

How is messaging with minor athletes handled?

To use our services, minors are required to be under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Likewise, all messaging from minors is required to be under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to review, restrict, or disable their child’s messaging access.
